Q. Are your items and firearms new?

A: Yes, unless explicitly marked as Used or Refurbished all items and firearms are new.

Q: Where can my dealer send a copy of their FFL for my order?

A: Please email to [email protected] with your order number referenced in the subject line. For more information see our Firearm Transfer Page.

Q: What are your firearm/item ship times?

A: As of June 2022 most serialized items ship within 14 days. In a small percentage of cases orders have exceeded 14 days but typically are shipped within 18 days. However, not being able to contact your transferring FFL can lead to delays. Please contact your FFL if you purchase a firearm. If you ordered a non-firearm these items typically ship in under 10 days, but because of our low pricing some items may have to be pulled from slower shipping distribution partners that can lead to longer than normal ship times. 

Q: Are all the FFL Dealers on your list of dealers on file?

A. No, we generate the list from publically available databases of FFL dealers. This does not mean we have every FFL on file. If you would like to know if we have your dealers FFL on file, once an order is placed, please call 877-205-7025. We do contact your dealer but ask that you, the customer, do as well as this aids the speed of the process. Firearms are federally regulated items and certain conditions must be met to legally transfer a firearm to another dealer. Failure to contact your designated FFL may lead to shipping delays.

Q: I want to order an NFA item. What do I do?

A: Contact your preferred dealer and make sure they can and will receive NFA items to conduct your transfer. A Form 3 Approval must be received before your item can ship, this can take 2-4 weeks to receive from ATF. It is imperative to have your dealer send a copy of their FFL & SOT to [email protected] We CANNOT submit a Form 3 to ATF for approval without a valid copy of your dealers FFL and SOT.

Q: My preferred FFL is not in your database. What do I do?

A: Your dealer can send a copy of their license to [email protected] and we will add them to our database. Please have your dealer put "FFL Addition," in the subject line.

Q: What are your firearm shipping rates?

A: Handguns are $18.99 for the first and $5.00 per additional. Long guns are $29.99 for the first and $10.00 per additional.

Q: I was shown various shipping charges during checkout. Is this correct?

A: The automated shipping calculator is accurate 99% of the time, but in some cases it does not calculate shipping as it should. Please call us and we can assist in resolving any shipping overages before your order is placed.

Q. How are firearms shipped? Is there insurance?

A. Firearms are shipped either USPS, FedEx, or UPS. Smokin' Guns guarantees the firearm at all stages of shipping until it is accepted by you at your transferring dealer. Additional insurance can be purchased for our exact insurance cost. Please call for additional insurance on your order.

Q: I ordered a firearm but want to cancel my order. What do I do?

A: Firearm orders can be cancelled at any time. Firearm orders cancelled within the 14 day shipping window may be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Q: Are all the items on your website on-hand at location?

A: No, we are a family owned business with near wholesale prices and simply do not have the square footage to house the over 100,000 items we carry on location. Some items may be drop-shipped or require shipping to our storefront for final fulfillment. 

Q: How do I know if items are in-store or dropship/ship to store for final fulfillment?

A: Items in store will be marked with a green dot that says Available In Store. Items that are either drop-shipped or the storefront conducts final fulfillment are marked with a green dot that says Available Online.

Q: Do you offer layaway?

A: Yes, currently all layaway options must be done by phone. Our policy is 25% down and 25% monthly for 90 days. Layaway deposits are non-refundable.

Q: Are there additional fees?

A: We charge a 2.5% credit card convenience fee. Cash prices are available with check, money order, or cryptocurrency. Please call for details.

Q: I'm not happy with my firearm. Can I return it?

A: No, all firearms are considered used and cannot be returned for a full refund once they have been accepted by the customer at the transferring dealer.

Q: My firearm is malfunctioning or was damaged after I accepted the transfer. What do I do?

A: All warranty work is handled by the manufacturer. Please contact the manufacturer of your firearm. Smokin' Guns does not repair firearms.

Q: I ordered an optic but want to return it. Can I?

A: No, all optic sales are final. We only replace optics if they are damaged upon receipt.

Q: I ordered an NFA item but didn't know I would have to wait on a Form 4. Can I return it?

A: No, all NFA sales are final. Once a Form 3 has been submitted to ATF any NFA order cannot and will not be cancelled or returned.

Q: I was denied on a background check. What now?

A: The firearm will be returned to Smokin' Guns. Any fees, and return shipping as well as a 20% restocking fee is the responsibility of the customer.

Q: Do you offer Military or First Responder discounts?

A: Yes, on items we have the available margin. Please call for inquiries. Brands that typically have discounts are Glock, Sig Sauer, CZ, Holosun among others for First Responders.

Q: I created an account but didn't receive a confirmation email. What do I do?

A: Please call us and we can confirm your account for you.

Q: I placed an order and my order was cancelled for Fraud. What does that mean?

A: We use a third-party service to guarantee the legitimacy of a debit/credit card transaction. This service uses a multi-point system to determine legitimate purchases. However, it isn't perfect. Please call us if you tried to purchase a firearm and are affected. Commonly, using a VPN service while making a purchase results in automatic cancellation.

Q: I placed an order and only received part of my items. What do I do?

A: Please call and inquire with us as it is likely a split-shipment and we can provide further details on your orders fulfillment.

Q: Can I ship to a PO Box?

A: A physical address is preferred. A PO Box can result in delays.

Q: Is shipping extra to Alaska & Hawaii?

A: For long guns, ammo, or pistols requiring large boxes, yes. Please call for shipping quotes outside the continental United States. Extra shipping must be covered before these items will ship.

Q: I emailed support but haven't received a reply. What do I do?

A: We are a family owned business who receives a large volume of ecommerce orders and respond as quickly as possible, but as we are working to fulfill orders for customers we do not always get to answer emails, fulfilling orders is our #1 priority. Please call as we are always happy to answer the phone and prefer speaking with our customers for a more personal relationship and quicker resolution to any issues that need resolved. Our phone system has call queuing and we will answer as quickly as possible in the order calls are received.

Q: I'm a firearms dealer. Do you sell to me?

A: Yes! We leverage our large purchasing ability to help other dealers as we can. We consider other dealers a part of our community and will work to help you get the items you may need. We do not currently have a dealer portal login, however.
